Helping Our Aussie Neighbours
At Crosswords we like to help all of those who need for one reason or another need some assistance.
we try to help those around us in a variety of ways.
one of these is 'Food Outlet'. this is where we provide the less fortunate with an opportunity to buy the necessities of life. we buy our stock from 'FoodBank' and we in turn sell this to people at a per kilo price, regardless of what it consists of.
We do this once a fortnight on a Wednesday morning from 11:00 am - 11:30 am
Every Tuesday morning we hold a crafting session where everybody is welcome.
the Craft morning is held from 9:00am until noon
Sunday School Program
At CrossWords we offer a Sunday School program for children aged 4 to 9 years every Sunday during the school term.
It is our desire for every child to experience God's love as they are encouraged to grow and reach their God-given potential. Children will learn about God and His Word (the Bible) in a relaxed, loving environment
Our vision and goal is:
To teach children the Bible in a clear and challenging way.
To nurture children in a personal relationship with Jesus by encouraging and modelling a relationship with Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
To give children the opportunity to relate with each other as Christians, teaching and modelling how to
encourage each other and pray together. To support the work of evangelising our neighbourhood, welcoming children and their families into a Christian community.
Kinder-Grade 1 – 4-6 year olds
Grades 2-5, – 7-10 year olds
(Activity sheets are available on the back table for older children, to help them engage with the sermon).
A creche is available for children aged 0-3 years during the service.
We have a Safe Ministry Policy in place and all teachers/carers are required to complete a Safe Ministry Training course and have a Working With Children Card.
Growth Groups at CrossWords
These are a great way of growing as a Christian and belonging to the congregation
The aim of Growth Groups are:
allow you to get to know a smaller group of people
enable you to share & encourage each other more effectively
provide a place to pray for each other and develop individuals' gifts
study the Bible at a level all members of the group can handle
help each other to grapple with the Bible and apply it to real life
build a team to work together serving in the church and the world
support each other in sharing your faith with others
We endeavor to have a range of growth groups at CrossWords, with new ones commencing from time to time.
